This year’s Go the Distance awards endeavor to underscore the tremendous team efforts made by numerous district and community members as we navigated a very unique year due to the COVID-19 pandemic. District staff members were forced to reimagine many elements of our students’ school experience in a short period of time, and did so with dignity. This unusual school year placed a burden on our students who were required to adjust and adapt to new school schedules, remote learning strategies, health precautions, and many other factors that required the steady, helping hand of a strong team unit, and in so many cases this year, our district staff went above and beyond in supporting their students.
Tonight we strive to celebrate those district staff members and community members who have made a positive impact in the life of a special education student. We thank all who shared their positive experiences about these individuals as part of the nomination process.
